The five specific parts of the book are divided in such a way that the reader should be able to access specific information quickly rather than having to read the entire book. The common principles that are identified in each chapter represent features of worksite health promotion programmes (i.e. integration, process, quality, resources and skill sets). Throughout the book when a principle emerges from the text, an icon representing the principle is printed near it. The principles and their definitions are outlined in the introduction. Biografía del autor Carolyn C. Cox, PhD, CHES, is an associate professor of health science at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She is respected in the field of worksite health promotion and frequently serves as a reviewer for textbook publishers on the topic. Extensively published and well practiced as a presenter of research on worksite health promotion, Cox is a fellow for the Association for Worksite Health Promotion, a member of the American College of Sports Medicine's Alliance of Health Fitness Professionals, and chair of the Missouri Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health's Worksite Health Promotion Task Force. Dr. Cox also is an active member of the National Wellness Institute and the American Alliance for Health Education of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. The Central District and Missouri Chapter of AAHPERD named her the College/University Health Education Professional of the Year for 2002.
